quikbook hotels
Quikbook.com is very reliable and most reservations there don%26#39;t require prepayment. Make sure it says ';book now pay later.';
If you%26#39;re traveling in the next 3 months you should also look on
travelzoo.com
as you might find some better deals to book directly with the hotel that also don%26#39;t require prepayment. Just remember the prices don%26#39;t include hotel tax which is an additional 15%/

I am extremely happy to have found quikbook.com. I%26#39;ve used them several times now and have gotten great bargains at great hotels. One instance I could only get a Thurs. night at a specific hotel on quikbook and called the hotel to see if we could also stay friday night and would they honor the thursday night rate...they were happy to do so. This hotel was listing rooms at 509 a night and we got it for 160 for both nights.
I used them and then ended up needing to cancel. Went fine. Just note they are not open on the weekend to call, and to cancel I needed to call them. Lucky I had two days before the check-in on Monday to call to cancel.
I even called to get a lower price when I noticed the price went down and they rebooked at the lower price, no questions.
I would use them again.
I%26#39;ve used quikbook 2x in the past 6 months; easy peasy, safe and reliable. you can sign up for email notices on the quikbook site and also on travelzoo for good hotel deals.
cheers guys,
I think I just got myself a bargain. 7 nights in december at the affinia Manhatten for 195 bucks a night. 449 on the hotels web site. Thanks for the re-assurance. bring it on!!!!!!!!!!!!
Brian.
congrats! I look at it this way...any decent place under 200.00 in NYC is a bargain to me. Of course we are not talking shared bath ones, which I myself would not even consider.
Not even George Clooney Elizabeth ?
Thanks for the post, Brian. I just made a reservation through Quikbook for the Affinia Manhattan for December 2009 also. $195 is an excellent price for this hotel at one of the most expensive times of the year.
i have used them more then a 100 times over the last 15 years and they are very good. In the NY market most of the reservationist have been to the hotels they book and can offer insight
Is there any way to get a nonsmoking room through Quikbook? Is the Affinia Manhattan a nonsmoking hotel? Their rates are great through Quikbook, but we require nonsmoking rooms. I will also need five rooms and can only book four through Quikbook. Your help is greatly appreciated!
