Sport tickets

Hi

I am going to be in NY City next year on the 1st and 2nd of May, I would love to go to a broadway show one night and a sporting match the next night. How do I find out what sports are on and get tickets?

Sport tickets

May is the beginning of the baseball season. It%26#39;s also the end of basketball season but our teams may not still be playing at that point.

Our main ticket website for all sports is Ticketmaster

www.ticketmaster.com

Some folks have reported on this forum that Ticketmaster%26#39;s website is finicky. Try making your search as broad as possible (all prices, all seats) to see what%26#39;s available.

Baeball: NY Mets at Shea Stadium in Queens - the 2006 Eastern Division Champs!!! Woooooo!

NY Yankees at Yankee Stadium in The Bronx.

Basketball - if still active: NY Knicks (at Madison Square Garden) and NJ Nets.

(they have a seating chart that lets you see views from different vantage points.)

What exactly did you look at????????? it%26#39;s both hockey and basketball season.

www.nhl.com (look for the Rangers and Devils schedules)

www.nba.com (look at the Knicks and Nets)

well I am in NYC from Feb 4-11, and I can tell you that in that week:

NY Rangers play LA Kings and Anaheim Ducks at MSG.

New Jersey Devils play at least 2 games at their new arena.

I%26#39;m sure the Knicks have home games.

And NY Titans have a home game too (but I concede -that may be after you have left!)

There is always sport in New York!

I wouldn%26#39;t count on hockey in May. The New York teams would have to be in the play-offs and you%26#39;d have to buy tickets from a scalper.

Feb, on the other hand, would be a great time to see hockey.

Folks, let%26#39;s check the date on the original post: it%26#39;s well over a year ago. Melbournechick has come and gone. The current discussion from Natalie99 deals with next month. Natalie, check the links you have been provided; you will get all the information you could want about professional sporting events in New York.

hi Many thanks for all your advice, going to try and get to either an ice hockey or basketball game as there appears to be a few on in the week we are over. What is the best way to buy tickets, can we get them on the gate before the game? or is it best to book before online? We are staying at the Jumeria Essex House near central park which is the closed and easiest to get to, had a look on the nicks and rangers websites and they are both at maddison sq gardens, is this easy to get to by public transport (subway) thanks
