Sorry guys! I did have a big list but have had to scrap a couple of the restaurants due to the poor exchange rate/expensive menu/credit crunch.
I need a place for breakfast on a Sunday morning under $10 per head, there are 6 of us so need to be able to easily get a table in the Times Square and surrounding area. Staying at the Wellington.
Also need a place for dinner one night. Around $30 a head not incl drinks. Maybe Italian, American or TexMex? Also in the same area. Thanks!
Restaurant reccs...sorry.
For a group of you for dinner I like Carmines - not the best Italian in the world but lovely comfortable atmosphere. They do family style dining so one main will do for about 3 people. www.carminesnyc.com
Restaurant reccs...sorry.
You should be able to get breakfast around that price somewhere like the Cosmic Diner.

If you%26#39;re willing to travel a little, head to Little Poland for a great cheap breakfast:

For dinner, I quite like Havana Central (Cuban) for a cheap dinner in the TS area:

Or Maria Pia for Italian:

Breakfast for under $10/person will be tight and depend on what people order. It%26#39;s easy to find eggs/bacon or waffles/pancakes for ~ $7-8 but when you add coffee which is now $2 and tax and tip it will come in over $10. The closest good but affordable place is probably Lou%26#39;s Cafe on 6th ave %26amp; 53 st.

The City Light diner on 10th ave. is much cheaper and also a schlepp probably out of your way.

Agree with kateoz that if you head down to Little Poland or Little Veselka

those are also good value for breakfast.
For dinner, there are quite a few places with pre theater and/or prix fixe dinners for $20-30/person for 3 courses. You might want to get out of Times Square/midtown for a change if you%26#39;re not going to the theater.
Just another thought - I also quite like the Edison Cafe for a reasonably priced breakfast at the bottom of the Edison Hotel:

Thanks for the suggestions! Cosmic dinner looks great for breakfast and we will definitely check out Carmines. How many people would one portion of food serve there? Seems fantastic value for money - any must try dishes on the menu?
