Sorry about restaurant question, but we are hoping to have lunch in Harlem tomorrow and was wondering if someone had an interesting suggestion. It%26#39;s our last day after 3 weeks and we have eaten alot of Italian, pizza, and American. Looking for someything spicey and yummy.
Thanks,
Kath

Which part of Harlem?

I%26#39;m not entirely sure sorry, but I imagine by lunch we will be at the south end of Harlem. We are not at all afraid of getting in a cab for a good meal.
The request for spice is going to limit your choices somewhat, but Mobay should satisfy the delicious factor. I prefer the branch on 145th in Hamilton Heights, but there%26#39;s another (more touristy) location on 125th, both on the west side:

Thank you Alice. If I rephrased my question and asked %26#39;where would you have luch in south Harlem regardless of cuisine%26#39; Where would you suggest?
Kath
I don%26#39;t know what you%26#39;re considering to be South Harlem, though. If you%26#39;re staying on the west side, I love Awash for Ethiopian (more so than any of the other few Ethiopians in the city, and I%26#39;ve been to them all multiple times) on Amsterdam near 106th:

Thats great. we will try that.
Thank you,
Kath
If you%26#39;re not a vegetarian, please try their Special Kitfo (not to be confused with regular Kitfo) - a truly addictive beef tartar. It%26#39;s amazing.
Thanks Alice
Alice: regarding awash. I went to the website and noted the pictures - regular tables, etc. Is it ';traditional?'; I recall going to several ethiopian restaurants in the past and sitting on those little stool like things (I used to know the name - can%26#39;t recall). Anyway, the menu sounds good - and we%26#39;re near Columbia nearly every weekend, so one of these weekends, will have to try it.
No, it%26#39;s just plain old Western tables and chairs.
