New York first timer....help

For some reason I just can%26#39;t seem to get my head around the best order to do my must do%26#39;s can anyone help? We are in New York for 4 nights with 3 full days for sight seeing I really want to go to Central Park, Battery Park, ESB or TOTR, Walk the Brooklyn Bridge, Staten Island Ferry, National History Museum and Grand Central Station. Can anyone help with the best way to do these? I know planning is supposed to be part of the fun but I just can%26#39;t seem to get my head around it!

Thanks in advance for any help!

Ps any suggestions on what else to see/do on the way would be greatly appreciated

Here%26#39;s a rough guide of what you could do?

Day 1: Downtown - Battery Park, Staten Island Ferry, Brooklyn Bridge, Wall St. Then explore some of the other neighbourhoods suchas Greenwich Village, Soho and Chinatown

Day 2: Central Park and Natural History Museum

Day 3: TOTR (better views compared to ESB), Grand Central, NY Public Library, Macys, 5th Ave, maybe a broadway show.

To get you head around everything, just keep researching, buy a guidebook, looks at maps etc...

The Staten Island Ferry, Brooklyn Bridge, and Battery Park are all in lower Manhattan (at least, the manhattan part of the bridge...the other part%26#39;s in Brooklyn). It would make sense to do all those things on the same day.

BTW, Battery Park is relatively small and, while it has a great view of the harbor, not particularly noteworthy. It%26#39;s a great oasis for workers in the area, but aside from the Sphere from the WTC, has little that qulaifies as a ';must do';...that sphere, however is incredibly moving, much more so than the construction site that people call Ground Zero.

Thanks guys for your replies. I%26#39;ve got a few months to get it all set in my head. I%26#39;m so excited I just want to be there now!
