Food for thought, a good indian??

i%26#39;ve never been to one in NYC but I have Brick Lane Curry House on my list for our next visit. I think it was recommended on here at some point. Have you tried www.menupages.com ? its a great website that lists probably all the restaurants cafes etc in NYC and usually gives you the latest menus too.

thanks i%26#39;ll take a look now xx

I love Yuva on 59th street between 2nd and 3rd Avenue. Service can be a bit spotty but the food is great and the owners are incredibly sweet.

I%26#39;d never heard of Red before your post and just checked menupages. Doesn%26#39;t sound that great to me.

TA is great for hotels but not as reliable on restaurants imo. In addition to menupages, Yelp, chowhound and http://newyork.savorycities.com/ have good food info.

Where in India, is the big question? I eat a lot of Indian and live in the %26#39;little India%26#39; part of Jackson Heights so I know my Indian.

In Manhattan, Vatan is the top Gujarati thali. Saravanaas is the best Chennai veg food. Mughlai is pretty good central Indian/Bombay. Chinese Mirch is good Indo-Chinese.

The best big knot of Indian restaurants is around 27th Street and Lexington Avenue - along Lex and 3rd from 25th to 29th, and on the side streets there. The area is called ';Curry Hill.';

Also, Red? Huh? What%26#39;s that?
