will finally be going to new york in march.(cant wait)while planning itinerary with a lot of help from this forum(thank you all)we can only have 1 day to see thr neighbourhoods.is it possible to walk from chelsea to greenwich village to soho to little italy to chinatown in one day? we realise we will not have more than 1 hour in each area but really need to see them all.
Is it possible?yeah it%26#39;s possible. Although there is also nothing to stop you jumping on the subway either if you want to get about a bit quicker.
You wouldn%26#39;t need an hour for Little Italy - it%26#39;s tiny.
Personally speaking, of those areas you mention, the Village and Soho would warrant the most time if it where me doing the leg work! Soho I could spend the whole day in just wondering, it%26#39;s probably my favourite area in Manhattan.
Is it possible? This thread has a walking tour that incorporates many of those areas:

You can walk easily from neighborhood to neighborhood. But it%26#39;s hard to get the feel of a neighborhood in an hour. At least for me. You might want to pick 3 of the ones you mentioned and enjoy them to the fullest.
thank you. have looked and might get subway from chelsea to the village and cut back time in little italy for more time in soho and the village
