Metro pass

Hi!

Would you recommend buying a metro pass? I am not sure if I understand the information on the MTA side correctly... A pass that allows using all busses and subways as often as I want costs 25$??? which means by using public transport twice a day it already is a bargain?? or do I make a mistake??

The Metro Card is a great deal!! I would strongly recommend buying it!! We were there for 6 days and probably used it 30+ times!

absolutely..the only way..unless you want to pay 50+ per day for the tourist buses. The 7 day metro card is one of the best deals in the city. NYC is one of the easiest cities to navigate also. Just get a little fold up postcard style map. usually they have a map of the subway on one side, and the island and all the streets with landmarks, atractions, hotels and popular eaterys on the other.

METROCARD RULES. It is your pass to all that NYC has to offer. The subway is safe, efficient and gets you there. Sometimes, there is even onboard entertainment.

Besides, one of the things about traveling is seeing the natives in their usual habitats. Nothing is better for seeing New Yorkers [and your fellow travelers] than a ride on the subway.

We grabbed 4 rides for 7 dollar passes (and then bought them again when they ran out....) though we were only there for 3 days. For a full week the metro pass would definitely be the best choice.
