We are going to Lake Placid for the President%26#39;s Day weekend. I have found Mt. Pisgah has snowtubing but I cannot tell how many runs (that is, how good or big it is).
Is there any place else?
Tubing in Lake Placid area.
FYI.. Mt Pisgah is a small town operated slope with 1 or 2 trails located 10 miles from Lake Placid. NO snomaking so it%26#39;s dependant on Mother Nature. It%26#39;s the only place to go tubing tho. Might wanna try the Toboggan slide on Mirror Lake in Placid
the next time u visit.

The tubing at Gore Mountain has 4-5 runs, safety nets, rope tows. There is also tubing at Ski Titus, which is maybe 40 minures away via a gorgeous drive.
Don%26#39;t go here!!!
The Mt. Pisgah snowtubing place is HORRIBLE.
We got there today and there were NO tubes. So they tell us (group of 8) to go stand and wait for a tube and then come back and pay. Well we waited for a half hour and when we finally got the first tube, another patron came over and very politely said they were there first.
It%26#39;s a free for all. We left. It ruined our day. We traveled from Virginia so we wanted to pack as much into our trip as possible.
Total waste of time. Driving there. waiting around. asking for help from management ( they didn%26#39;t even take a list of names so you would know who was there first), and driving back. horrendous experience. What a way not to do business.

I don%26#39;t have any connection to this mountain, it is a tiny mountain and not too popular with local residents and I would not recommend this mountain for any winter activities but I feel bad you had such unpleasant experience. I suggest you send your observations to the Chamber of commerce in Saranac Lake. Be brief but get to the point.

However, I am puzzled by your statement this unpleasant experience ruined your day. If you planning on traveling frequently then be prepared not everything is going to work perfectly, learn to focus on positive things of your trips and take action if things are really bad.
Happy many travels
I recently went tubing at Mt Pisagh and would not recommend it to ANYONE!!!!! It was dangerous and the out of the four teenagers woking one was on his cell phine the other playing a guitar. We saw one little boy almost have a serious accident. I would never bring my children to this place.
Pisgah.
I%26#39;ve been to several tubing places, this one is the worst I%26#39;ve seen so far. It is really inexpensive, but totally not worth driving there. It is very short, slow and poorly built.
I agree with one of the previous posters that this place is also a safety hazard. Watch metal rope - it may hurt your head.
Overall - if you%26#39;re in Lake Placid, repeat after me: no-tubing-around-lake-placid. Just forget it.
