New yorkers I need your advise!

I have just agreed to my wifes request of 20 years that we should visit New York in december when it is all Christmasee. To be honest I have always wanted to visit the place but was a bit reluctant to give up our summer vacation to do it.(we love florida)

Anyhow its now booked we arrive in NYC on dec 6th for 7 nights and we cannot wait.

However I would like to surprise my Good lady by adding a 2 or 3 day tag on trip to somewhere new for us. Maybe a flight of 2 to 3 hours from jfk?

Any suggestions so I can spring a surprise?

You could fly to Niagara Falls easily within a couple of hours. How romantic, eh?? The Canadian Side is much nicer IMO, so don%26#39;t forget to check on passport/visa requirements if you choose to go there.
