Hello! Need your help...my parents bought us tickets to the Lion King for Christmas...with dinner included. We are looking for a 5:00 dinner reservation for a family of 6...2 kids (7 and 9), mom and dad and grandparents. My kids really do not eat much so we don%26#39;t plan around them...but we do want a place where we will be comfortable with kids in tow, but yet have a nice meal. Price isn%26#39;t really the ultimate factor. We may just end up in Chinatown because my kids just love it there. Just wondering what anyone else thought. We will be driving in so location isn%26#39;t really a big deal either. Thoughts...
We love all types of food...Italian and Indian being the least favorite of the group as a whole, but would be open to anything cool and exciting.

Carmine%26#39;s was the first thing that came to mind until you said Italian is a least favorite. Vynl and Film Center Cafe are popular for families in that area. Dallas BBQ and Virgil%26#39;s are good if you like BBQ. Cafe Un Deux Trois is a good option for French bistro food (kids can have burgers etc. and they have crayons on the table for drawing). If you want Chinese, there are quite a few decent places closer to the theater in the west 30%26#39;s-40%26#39;s. Dong Hai Grill sounds good although I%26#39;ve not tried it.

valentine's day family dinner
funny...carmines was the first thing that came to my mind...until my husband said ';italian..uh!';..He hates red sauce, but loves everything else..so I try to tell him Italian doesnt mean red sauce!!!
With kids in tow I would think Joe Allen%26#39;s, Rosie O%26#39;Grady%26#39;s or John%26#39;s Pizza would work well. If Kids are well behaved 21 Club has a lot of history and good food
I%26#39;ll put in a plug here for Akdeniz on W. 46th St. between 5th %26amp; 6th Avenues. A sweet place with tasty Turkish food -- and the prix fixe dinner menu (choice of 10 appetizers, 10 entrees + dessert + coffee/tea) is just $21.95. Zagat ratings - food: 21, service: 19.

If you%26#39;re willing to spend more money, I second the suggestion of the 21 Club. A reservation will also give you 6 hours of free parking at the Central Parking garage at 31 W. 52nd Street, and the pre-theatre menu in the less formal Bar Room is just $40. When my son was younger, he loved going there because of the toys, sports memorabilia, and the raft of model airplanes hanging from the ceiling. And the staff was happy to prepare something off-menu for him or let him order from the cocktail lounge%26#39;s lighter bites menu.
Great suggestions...will look into all of them...Thanks so much!
