Hi
I%26#39;ve been looking at purchasing tickets for a Broadway show and came across what I think seems a bargain - tickets to see Billy Elliot on a Friday night for $41 ($49.50 with charges added). The tickets seem to be central but right on the back row (rear mezzanine row G seats 1 %26amp; 2). Has anybody who has been to the Imperial Theatre sat this far back and if so could you see? I don%26#39;t want to waste my money, if the seats are terrible I%26#39;d rather pay the extra however if I do get these it means I%26#39;ll probably be able to see another show (if I can fit one in).
Thanks in advance,
Teapotty
Billy Elliot Rear Mezzanine Seating
When I was a little girl my parents got back row tickets for lots of shows. You could hear everything but it was pretty hard to see.
I just saw Billy Elliott and it is a show where seeing the dancing is more important than hearing the singing IMHO. I think for this show you would be better off sitting closer. It is not really a bargain if you don%26#39;t get to see what%26#39;s happening easily.
Billy Elliot Rear Mezzanine Seating
I%26#39;ve not seen the show yet (first week of Jan.) but someone posted how tight the seats are in the Mezz. I would agree with the previous post. Last row of mezz sounds too far back.
Thanks for your responses guys, I%26#39;ll go for better seats I%26#39;d be gutted if I couldn%26#39;t see it.
I%26#39;m glad my choice of seating has thrilled you TraderJosephina, mind yout I suppose somebody as bitter and twisted as you doesn%26#39;t have many friends they can share the joys of Christmas with so i suppose you have to get your thrills where you can!
Well as far as seats are concerned, I have heard mixed reviews about the Rear Mezz, however the Imperial is not a very large theatre, and you will still be able to see the show well even from back there. Another option are looking from the limited view seats on telecharge as sometimes people don%26#39;t know about these so they aren%26#39;t sold as quickly, if you go mid orchestra on the right you really won%26#39;t miss THAT much and the seats are 81.50. If you want more details about some seats you can check this thread out: friendsofbilly.com/FriendsF/viewtopic.php鈥?/a> and ask any other questions.
