I use www.kayak.com to search for good prices when we fly to Europe. It%26#39;s a good site.

I would use the ';Search'; NY forums box and enter ';affordable hotel'; ,etc. and you%26#39;ll probably find most of the info you%26#39;ll need to plan your visit.

I just booked a return flight from Dublin to NY for Feb for 245 eur which I belive is pretty cheap. I booked on-line through www.clubtravel.ie so well worth a look as I shopped around and this seemed to be the cheapest. There is also another good Irish website which I have found cheap flights on before www.travelpaths.com.

I think it depends what grade of hotel you%26#39;re looking for, but my recent experience suggests that Quikbook.com have the best deals on hotels, but some of their deals are much better than others.

www.1800flyeurope.com is a great site. We used that to book our flights to Italy and saved nearly $700 a ticket compared to american airlines.. Good luck!

Book your flights first try all the usual suspects, Expedia, E Bookers etc. When you have your dates ask hotel questions here. There are some great posters from the city. It helps if you know your preferred neigborhood and your budget.
