Would appreciate some help please visiting New York City

I and my wife are visiting the USA Florida for 3 months (March to May). During this time we plan on driving up to New York however I would really appreciate some local knowledge with the following questions. Sorry in advance there being so many.

1 Whilst I don%26#39;t mind driving up to New York planning on doing it over 3 days. I don%26#39;t fancy driving around New York City so am looking for some advise what area I could aim to stay and leave the car and communicate into the city to see the sites?

2 Thinking of spending about 4 days around the city is there anywhere I could find an itinerary of what to see and things to do?

3. Feel free to pass on any helpful tips about the journey or stay, they would be really appreciated.

4. We will be staying in motels (days Inn/holiday Inn etc) on the way up and when up there are there any opinions as to which are the better chains please.

As I say sorry in advance for needing so much information.

Regards

Rob

Thanks a million tmoo6 for taking the time to reply reading your links will sort out my evening!

Happy New Year

Rob

The Skyline Inn which is about Holiday Inn quality

has low cost parking and you may get a better

rate than Travel Inn. Both have great pools with

Travel Inn outdoor pool open in May.

My advice is: stay longer in NYC!! Spring is a great time to explore NYC. Since you%26#39;ll be in the US for 3 months, why so short in the Big Apple?

Thanks for the great information everybody never ceases to amaze me how helpful people are on here, thanks.

As far as the length of stay Queensboulevard to be absolutely honest its all about the budget, we are renting a villa down in Florida for the 3 months and want to also get to see Savannah and New Orleans so the hotel costs in NYC is definately a factor. As my wife and I are mature not Kids whilst we dont need something top class clean and in a decent area is important.

Once again thank you all for your help.

Rob

Good luck! Happy New Year also:)
