most shows can be booked through ticketmaster as they are the official sellers.

Always try them first and if you can%26#39;t get the dates you want try sites like broadwaybox

Sorry to disagree with the previous poster but it makes most sense to check out Broadway Box first to see what discount tickets are available for advance purchase. The links there take you to the official sellers, usually BroadwayOffers, a division of Telecharge which is the exclusive, direct booking ticket agent for virtually all Broadway shows, not Ticketmaster (if you click through Ticketmaster, you%26#39;re re-routed to Telecharge for just about anything except the Disney productions).

Dirty Dancing is not currently playing Broadway, there is a tour of the show currently playing an extended sit down in Chicago and it%26#39;s rumored to be making it%26#39;s way to Broadway in the Fall of 2009. Nothing concrete on that though. Isn%26#39;t it still playing in London? Seems a long way to travel to see something you could see much closer.

The most popular shows currently on Broadway are Wicked, Jersey Boys, Lion King, Billy Elliot and South Pacific. If you%26#39;re wanting to see one of those, best place to go is Telecharge (Ticketmaster for Wicked/Lion King) to check for availability. Most everything else will eventually post discounts to Broadway Box so if you don%26#39;t see discounts that cover the time you%26#39;ll be in NYC, keep checking, they usually post discounts about 2 months out.

because i am saving for this wedding/honeymoon icant afford to nip down to london for the show.

There%26#39;s been talk that it%26#39;s heading towards Broadway in the fall, after playing in Chicago %26amp; Boston, but nothing definite yet. The best place to prebook depends on what shows you want to see. Some are never discounted while others are regularly discounted. I just saw ';In the Heights'; today and it was absolutely spectacular. It%26#39;s not been discounted up to now but as of this week has a discount on
