Gotham or Comedy Cellar

Hi guys! We are going to be in NYC the weekend of

February 7th. We would like to go to a Comedy Club while we%26#39;re in town. We haven%26#39;t been to any Comedy Clubs in the City before. What do you guys think about the two above? Is one better than the other? Also, on February 7th at Gotham, Pablo Francisco will be there. Has anyone ever seen him perform? Please let me know. As always, thanks for all the great advice!

Interesting.............I know I guess you just never know with these places. Have you been to any others that you would recommend? It always helps if you know who%26#39;s going to be performing. Maybe I should wait until it gets closer. They didn%26#39;t have thier line up posted yet.

We were at Gotham over the xmas period and it was ok but quite cramped, Ive been to dangerfields and Carolines on previous trips and enjoyed both of them.

My experience with the Comedy Club was not so great.

Called in advance for reservations calling twice, and got a recorder stating that no one was availabe to take reservations. I left my information and contact number as the recorder requested and no representative called me back, even after a return call to them.

Therefore, we booked at the Gotham. We requested booth seating for a party of 4 and although they could not promise us, we went early and were given a booth. This seating was not as tight as the table seating. The club itself is laid out very nice and the show was great! We were given a table number, but never had to wait in a line spanning outside the building. After getting our table number, there was a lounge/bar downstairs to sit and have drinks before the show started. I would reccommend the Gotham. Have been there several times on our getaway visits to NYC and it did not disappoint!
