Affinia Manhattan or Westin Times Square

Hello to all:

I will be traveling to NYC in March. I have found great deals for the Affinia and Westin Times Square,(almost exact quote for both) however I am not familiar with either hotel. I am also not too familiar with the location of the Affinia. We are two adults in our late 20%26#39;s who will be staying in the city for the first time. I%26#39;ve usually just done day trips for New Jersey.

Any suggestions or experiences with either?

Thank you so much for your help!

Affinia Manhattan or Westin Times Square

The Westin is a new, modern skyscraper hotels with good views from most rooms (many of NJ as it faces west across the Hudson) and is a block off Broadway near Times Square. The Affinia Manhattan is an older hotel of mostly suites (with kitchens) across from Penn station on 7th ave. The Westin I think is overall nicer for a couple. There are also some very good deals on

travelzoo.com

for some other hotels like 70 Park and the Benjamin. Have you looked at ';travelers photos'; on the reviews page here?

Affinia Manhattan or Westin Times Square

hi

I have stayed at the affinia with my hubby, it was good, a characteristic hotel, with large suites, like apartments (we had a one bedroom one with two bathrooms!) I have just booked again and considered the westin (we recently stayed in the dubai one and it was amazing) but it was more than we wanted to pay, i would say, if price isnt an option, the westin, if you want space, the affinia.

we chose the thirty thirty this time as there are lots of us and want to do it budget and spend the money on other things this time!

Cant comment on the westin but have just stayed at the affinia over new year and loved it, plenty of room and e-mailed them in advance and ended up with a room with a view of the empire state builing which pleased me no end! Ive been to new york 4 times and this is my favourite hotel so far, would def go back there next time, ps had e-mail yesterday to say they have a 9 day sale on so dont know if thats the price you have or if it would be cheaper now if you re-priced it? might be worth another look.
