Hi Everybody
Well we are all booked and are off in September. We fly from the Isle of Man to London on Wednesday 2nd September and then off first thing on the Thursday morning. I know we wont be able to sleep that night!
I know my question should be on the Heathrow forum but it is not very good at all and I figured that i%26#39;d get a far better (and quicker) answer on this forum from everybody being all excited the night before you are due to fly out.
I need details of a nice cheap and clean hotel/B%26amp;B close to Heathrow T5 so we can get up nice and early for our flight and not have a long journey to the airport.
We are planning on getting the Heathrow Express into the city the day before so anything that is handy for that as well would also be a great help.
A friend has mentioned that Travelodge T5 is an option but the reviews are not great and i cant seem to figure out how from away from the airport it is.
All replies are much appreciated.
Thanks

The night before you are due to fly out...
Try the Holiday Inn At Heathrow, rooms start from 拢64 a room. We%26#39;re thinking of staying there the night before we head off to NY too.
The night before you are due to fly out...
Thanks Emmaxoxo
Have you ever stayed there before? Is it any good? Is it close to T5?
The transport to and from the airport is important as well isnt it!
Thanks
there%26#39;s a Yotel inside Heathrow terminal 4. They are absolutely TINY! approx 拢7 per hour, but they%26#39;re inside the airport, so really convenient.
I read it was 2km away from Heathrow, and you could get a shuttle bus for 拢4 if you don%26#39;t have a car. The rooms look better then our hotel in NY actually lol!
I have read reviews on it, and people liked it, good enough for a stay over when travelling. We will mostly likely stay there, if we can persuaded my friends, and they don%26#39;t want to spend any more than necessary.
How about the Travelodge at Euston? It%26#39;s 5 minutes up the road from Kings Cross which is on a direct tube line to Heathrow. We%26#39;re booked to stay there in April the night before we fly to NYC from Heathrow. If memory serves me right, I think we%26#39;re paying 拢29 for a family room.
i have checked out what LKT was saying, out of curiosity, and looking for cheaper accommodation for the night to persuade my friend.
Travelodge actually has 3 hotels located no more than 5miles away from Heathrow, all at 拢29 per room which can sleep a max of 3. Double Bed and pull out sofa bed.
The 3 hotels are Heathrow Central, Heathrow Heston M4 Westbound and Heathrow Heston M4 Eastbound.
The Central one only has one review on TA, which goes on a breakfast, and says nothing about the room itself.
Whilst the other two, seem to be classed as the same hotel, even though they are two different building located 2.7miles away from each other about an 8mins drive, one on each side of the M4, they both seem to receive mixed reviews off TA, but i think will be suitable enough for one night.
Hopefully only 拢29 can persuade my friend to stay over night, espically with 3 people in the room, that%26#39;s less than a TENNER each.
The reason for the rooms being so cheap, is that once you have booked the room that%26#39;s it, they are non-refundable. But for 拢29 you can%26#39;t really go wrong. There is another option of 拢60 which is refundable.
I think we will hopefully be staying there for the night.
Thank you to everybody for the replies - i think i%26#39;ll have a go with the Travelodge and see if I can get it booked today.

Travelodge can be a little hit and miss sometimes. They are basic and you will know what to expect as all Travelodge are the same. They are more than comfortable to stay for the night and with their current sale prices it is well worth it especially in London.
Emma the two M4 ones are on opposite side of the M4 hence the similar location but mileage difference. I%26#39;ve stayed (and am staying again next Thurs) at the Westbound one, I dont think that there is public transport to get you there tho and a taxi may be expensive, if you have a car, however, it%26#39;s a good option. Another hotel I rate and have stayed in when flying from Heathrow is the Premier Travel Inn on Bath Road, there is a free bus which drops you pretty much outside not sure what it%26#39;s like from T5 tho.
I have in the past stayed at the comfort inn which cost 拢90 with car parking and slept 3 to a room (dont know if it will be much cheaper without the parking) it was 拢4 to any terminal on the bus. terminal 5 wasnt open last time i used it but sure they will drop off there too. As a note there is a hotel actually in terminal 5, think its called sofitel? not sure of prices sorry
