Quick Breakfast Suggestions

Hi All,

This friday - before we walk across the Brooklyn Bridge - we%26#39;re looking for a great little breakfast suggestion. Our hotel is right by Macy%26#39;s - so anywhere not out of the way between Macy%26#39;s and the bridge would be great! We would prefer somewhere downtown - just for something different.

We aren%26#39;t looking to pay more than about $25 and like almost everything!

Thanks in advance!

You should be heading to Brooklyn and walking back from Brooklyn toward Manhattan for best views so I%26#39;d suggest eating in Brooklyn Heights or on Front st. Here are some options

Quick Breakfast Suggestions

Last August we were following the same path as you and made a stopover at Pastis in the Meatpacking district for Benedict eggs and Bloody Marys. Out of the way, but enjoyed it so much...

Or you cuold do what a New Yorker would do and stop in at a deli and pick up an egg on a roll and a coffee or something like that. If you%26#39;re staying near Macys, there%26#39;s a bunch of delis in the area. It%26#39;d be quick and cheap.

';A bagel with a schmear';. The New York bagel is the quintessential New York breakfast. Readily available hand rolled goodness. Get it with a Cuppa Cawfee and you set for under three bucks.

Of course we are not New Yorkers... just tourists... but still enjoyed it very much :)

The best breakfast in town is at the Clinton Street Baking Company on the Lower East Side. It%26#39;s located at 4 Clinton St,New York, NY 10002

If you go for Sunday brunch, get there early and be prepared to wait for an hour to get a table.

Stayed in Holiday Inn on 15th West - 45th Street had breakfast most mornings in a diner on the corner - towards 5th Avenue opposite our hotel. Great traditional american breakfast. Loved it
