Restaurant Help

There are just way too many restaurants to choose from! This trip we are taking some friends of ours with us. So there will be two couples dining. Everyone in their mid 30%26#39;s. We%26#39;re looking for somewhere nice that%26#39;s not too expensive. I would say $100 per couple at the most. Somewhere that%26#39;s not very touristy. It%26#39;s our friends%26#39; first trip to NYC so we%26#39;re trying to keep them away from tourist traps. If you guys could give us some ideas, I would really appreciate it. On past trips, we%26#39;ve ate at Lupa, Georgio%26#39;s, John%26#39;s, Caliente Cab, and Olive Tree Cafe. I was thinking somewhere in Greenwich Village might be nice. We like all kinds of food, but please not Italian. We like it, but we will be eating at John%26#39;s again and this is just a long weekend trip so I%26#39;d rather not do Italian food twice. Mexican, American, Chinese, Japanese............any of these would be good. Please no French food either. Thanks a bunch for your help!!!

If you can get a reservation, The Little Owl would be a good choice:

Market Table is a good restaurant by the same people that%26#39;s easier to get into:

But that%26#39;s just to eat sushi and aint gonna impress anyone with it%26#39;s decor.

Thanks guys! I%26#39;ll look at those menus. Have you guys tried Havana Alma de Cuba? It has gotten good reviews on menu pages, and the menu looks good.

How about good?

My new fave Middle Eastern place is La Kabbr in Hell%26#39;s Kitchen. Yum!! Not the greatest decor, but great food.
