To Wait or not to wait??

im coming to NY in April for 6 nights just wondering should i wait out for cheaper rates or book now??quikbook and travelzoo have sales now but only up til march. also which hotel would you recommend around the 200 a nyt range and location is more important.we%26#39;re a young couple 20%26#39;s and would like to be in the heart of NY thanks!

I have been watching the deals since late November and have been booking hotels and canceling them when I find a better deal. Be sure to check what the cancelation requirements are so you do not get charged anything for canceling. So far I have gone from paying $200/night to $119/night by doing this. It is fun to watch how much money you can save but at the same time KNOW you have a hotel to stay at when you get to wonderful Manhattan!!

Best idea is if you can%26#39;t find a bargain is to book something now that%26#39;s cancelable and keep an eye out for better deals and/or sign up for emails on sales from travelzoo, quikbook and any specific hotels you like.

There%26#39;s no one best location and being ';in the heart of NY'; many different things to different people. If that%26#39;s code for Times Square, it%26#39;s really not necessary (or in some cases even beneficial) to stay there but Radio City apartments is usually around $200/night plus tax. The hotel website is not working for me

radiocityapartments.com

so can%26#39;t confirm prices in April or check availability. The Wellington is another budget hotel in that area that%26#39;s usually ~ $200. I think closer to the time you%26#39;ll find more options but I%26#39;d book something now in case.

If you%26#39;re talking about booking a flight, I%26#39;d wait. Yes, the deals now are only thru March. Last month they were only thru February. I keep watching and note as time marches on the deals are extended forward.
