what to do with teens in ny at night?

Broadway Play, Off-Broadway Play

Comedy Club appropriate for the age: National Comedy Theatre: Improv comedy with audience participation OR Upright Citizen%26#39;s Brigade.

Circle Line or any other cruise to see the city aglow and Lady Liberty looking stunning at night.

Cafe Wha: Rock band/bar environment that let%26#39;s teens in!

Dinner is a cool, upscale restaurant: China Grill, Eleven Madison Park, Bryant Park Grill, Buddakan all come to mind.

Dinner in Chinatown or Little Italy (I know, most locals hate the food in Little Italy but teens love the atmosphere of the place and the pasta is still better than Olive Garden).

Dessert: Ellen%26#39;s Stardust Diner (singing wait staff and tasty desserts), Junior%26#39;s Cheesecake, Ferrara%26#39;s in Little Italy.

Window shop at the stores along 5th Avenue, ice skate at Rockefeller Plaza.

Just a few ideas. I am sure others can come up with some more.

I typed too fast. There are several typos. Sorry about that! Moms

The only thing you Can%26#39;t do is bring them into a bar to drink! Otherwise, whatever you%26#39;re doing will be appropriate: dinner, shows, walking the Brooklyn Bridge, shopping, ice skating (when%26#39;re you arriving?), galleries, etc.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art is open late on Friday and Saturday:

ptdooey - yours is a popular question. I typed ';teens at night'; in the forum%26#39;s search box and found these, among many others:

If you%26#39;re here the first Sat. of the month (next one is February), I highly recommend late night at the Brooklyn Museum. Very easy to get to. Subway stops in front of the museum. It%26#39;s quite a ';scene.';

Moms above has made some great suggestions. NYC is the mecca of restaurants and this is a great opportunity to expand their cuisine horizons.

Another suggestion is to take the kids to the Bodies Exhibition at the Seaport. Fascinating study of the human anatomy.

Thanks Daninny. Something else came to mind, how about bowling at Lucky Strike? We love the Lucky Strike in Philly, as do our teens. It may have an age restriction at some point in the evening but it is a very cool environment and the bowling is just plain fun. Be forewarned, it is pricey but the food is very good (think upscale bar food) and the drinks for mom and dad are delicious... Moms
