I%26#39;ll be in NYC over Valentine%26#39;s day and I was hoping to get reservations at a restaurant that%26#39;s somewhat romantic, has great food and isn%26#39;t too overpriced...any suggestions?? I%26#39;d really appreciate the help!
Thanks!!
Best romantic restaurant on v-day?Since we may not all share the same definition of ';too overpriced'; for the occasion, what budget range are you hoping for?
Best romantic restaurant on v-day?Have a look at In Vino on East 4th Street in the East Village. I think the restaurant features a very romantic unpretentious atmosphere. The food is to die for and the prices are incredibly reasonable.
Have a look at www.yelp.com
newyork.citysearch.com
www.menupages.com
www.opentable.com for reservations.
Let me know what you think, I%26#39;ll try to make some additional suggestions if this isn%26#39;t what you%26#39;re looking for.
It also depends on your definition of ';romantic';. Many people will suggest the River Cafe, with its incredible views of Manhattan from across the East River. I personally think getting a hot dog at Gray%26#39;s Papaya (the one on 72nd) and a walk through Central Park could be very romantic, depending on the company!
So there are other considerations beyond budget...
Just to give you an idea:
My girlfriend and i recently went to the River Cafe and had the fixed price menu, a bottle of wine. The only added supplememnt was for the cheese board which was around $6-$8. The bill was $316.00 inclusive of tax and tip.
I must say that all the recommendations are justified as the service, food, view were all absolutely amazing!
