Travelzoo has a great deal on the Eastgate Towers with starting at $119. I had previously booked with Shelburne Murray at NYWhiz suggestion, but Whiz...this even beats that deal. Can anyone tell me when looking at value for the dollar in today%26#39;s econcomy if I will be content making the switch? Eastgate has full kitchen where Shelburne only had a microwave and small fridge. Thanks in advance!

Eastgate Towers vs Shelburne Murray Hill
They%26#39;re very close to each other and owned by the same parent company. The Shelburne has been recently renovated and updated while the Eastgate has not. Have a look on the ';travelers photos'; on the reviews page and decide. I doubt you%26#39;ll be doing any cooking so I don%26#39;t think the full kitchen vs. fridge/microwave coffeemaker is an issue. I think it%26#39;s price, amenities, size of rooms and beds.
Eastgate Towers vs Shelburne Murray Hill
I just wanted to let you know I decided to stay at the Eastgate Towers. Not because of any other reason than saving myself money. LOL! I am a single mother and really want to be able to to enjoy the last official family trip with my son who is a senior and graduates in May then heading off to San Diego to go to college. He loves NYC and I want to be able to give him 2 Broadway shows (he is an actor who has the lead in his school musical Grease this year). We are so excited and I was concerned we might not even be able to go. Looking forward to being in NYC March 15-21. I will be posting our trip plans as the trip gets closer.
Thanks NYWhiz for your help in finding a hotel. :)
I think you%26#39;ll be fine. If you haven%26#39;t yet thought about which shows, I strongly recommend ';In the Heights.'; It%26#39;s just available for the first time on discount on broadwaybox.com
It%26#39;s a great show, esp. for young people and the lead also wrote the show (and started it in his sophomore year of college!)
Thanks for the suggestion NYWhiz! I think this is a wonderful idea. Both of my kids will enjoy this show. I used the link you provided to read about it and will be buying tickets in advance to go see this one.
