We booked a hotel for our January trip! We decided to go with The Muse Hotel!
Also, we were just informed of a time change for our flights. We have a layover in Detroit--we now only have 30 minutes for our layover. Any advice on how to be sure we don%26#39;t miss it??
Hotel booked... and flight change
Do you mean you have to change planes in Detroit? Get on a connecting flight?
In that case you are at the mercy of the airlines; being on time, taking off on time etc....

I would double check with the airline that the itinerary is correct. They might have better options to get you to your final destination since the cnx is so close.
If you are still on that routing I would try to carry on all luggage. Look at the dimensions on your air carriers for acceptable sizes of carry ons and remember the TSA rules for liquids. I travel a lot with hubby and 2 kids and we never check a bag and are able to have everything we need.
Good luck!
that%26#39;s not a legal connection so you should be able to get the airline to rebook you with more time between flights. Unless its just a stop to let people off and you dont have to change planes.
When Delta changed my flights leaving me 50 minutes to get through Atlanta on a Friday - I had them rebook me for the night before - they waived the change fee and I%26#39;m paying for a hotel.
American and United are like shuttle service out of Ohare - every 1/2 hour. What are you flying that would go via Detroit - something commuter out of Midway? Hopefully an airline with multiple flights so they can rebook you on one with more time between flights.
I%26#39;ll bet that%26#39;s a Northwest flight -- Detroit is one of their hubs, and they consider 30 minutes to be the minimum connection time at that airport (the info is on their website). I have no experience there, so I won%26#39;t comment on whether 30 minutes is likely to be adequate, but I%26#39;ll agree that it would concern me.
Just refound this post! Thanks for the tips on connecting... I will have to check it out and see if it is still 30 minutes. I think we got info that it changed again. We knew it was going to be close, but thought it was more like 45-50 minutes.
