Irving Plaza

I%26#39;m having a look at seeing Katy Perry at the Irving Plaza on April 8th - our arrival day, also the shows/events we want to see are either on the 8thor 9th it%26#39;s so annoying.

Anyway, i can%26#39;t find a seating plan for the plaza, only one that says this is a general admission event, so why are all the tickets different prices, TicketMaster doesn%26#39;t sell the tickets, but TicketsNow a comapny of there does. The prices are Section GA $32 - $32, Section FLOOR $33 - $33, Section GA* $41 - $41.

I%26#39;m confused is it just all standing or not?

Irving Plaza

Tickets Now is a resale vendor - so I imagine people can ask whatever they like for the tickets, hence the different prices. The show is officially sold out.

But yes, the venue is typically general admission, standing only.

Irving Plaza

Is it save to buy off there then? As they charge $15 delivery, will they even deliver to the UK? Then there%26#39;s another optional $13 insurance option. Is it just like Buy Now off Ebay, fans sending you there tickets they don%26#39;t want?

You can%26#39;t guarantee these things, but I imagine it%26#39;s fairly safe, given it%26#39;s affiliated with Ticketmaster.

There%26#39;s a giant empty dance floor and a stage. No seats. There are some seats in the balconies.

As others have said its standing room only. There is bench seating up in the balcony but I think those are VIP seats (record executives, friends of the band, etc.) as I鈥檝e never seen them for sale at the box office. I would imagine the prices go up as the tickets become more and more scarce and that鈥檚 why you鈥檙e seeing them sold at different levels.

Regarding your second question:

TicketsNow (and other companies like them) will buy lots of tickets as soon as they go on sale to re-sell at a higher price. The same happens with popular Broadway shows and sporting events. So although Irving Plaza is telling you it鈥檚 a sold out show that鈥檚 not technically true. It鈥檚 corporate scalping. It鈥檚 a scam but it鈥檚 a legal scam and you鈥檒l get your tickets 鈥?you鈥檒l just pay more then someone who purchased them directly from Irving鈥檚 box office. I鈥檓 sure they will ship to the UK 鈥?but I imagine your shipping fees will cost more then the tickets themselves. Do you have a friend in NYC you can have the tickets sent to?
