New Year's forum resolutions!

I pledge to:

- not answer any more posts about tipping.

(So far, 8 days and counting!)

- mention The Panorama as much as possible.

(Hmm, ok that%26#39;s a giveaway. I need an easy one to make myself feel like I accomplished something.)

- Go to a Korean BBQ place on W. 33rd St.

- Renew my plans to take over Lotuspath, Inc. from my Queens hq.

(Are you listening, rdglady and GWB? jhwanderer, don%26#39;t you want to show LP what for? I think if we join forces...)

- Finish my Ireland trip report.

(I have written the next two days. Really!)

- Go to that biryani place in Jackson Heights.

- Mention something travel related here at least once.

(Fun fact: Did you know that the flat NYC taxi rate bwn JFK and any point in Manhattan, either direction, is $45, plus tip and any tolls?)

What%26#39;s yours?

New Year's forum resolutions!

Mine should be to stop posting...but it isn%26#39;t working too well so far!

New Year's forum resolutions!

I only have three

Post less but more meaningful posts and mature as a person acting more like an adult than some immature 15 year old.

On odd numbered days, type all posts with a Brooklyn accent

Convince Alice Palace that her and I in an offical mud wrestling contest would be fun.

chipper

Chipper,

I disagree. You act like a very mature 15 year old!

My heart and money would be on different sides. LP would yell out that you think apartment rentals are legal in the extremely unsafe Bronx borough and it would be over in 10 seconds. But I%26#39;d be pulling for you the whole time.

Howsabout a collective resolution to introduce a bit of grammar?

May%26#39;be some punctuation?

Perhaps spelling could be left for 2010. Don%26#39;t want to be too ambishious!

I resolve to be less snarky when the same question gets asked over and over again. I will hereby decline from responding to the following questions in 2009:

1. Are the subways safe?

2. I have a -- year old child, can I go to a bar?

3. What is the best: show, neighborhood to stay in,restaurant, etc. - at least until appropriate info about you is provided.

4. How do you get from JFK to Manhattan.

5. What will the weather be like in [pick a date two or three months in advance.]

QB - I am wholly aligned with LP in the Bklyn Axis of Drivel. You will never be able to take us over, as we are surrounded and protected by our Bklyn peeps. Lotus also has an underground bunker in a non-disclosed location that even Cheney can%26#39;t find. It is loaded with obscure tunes, salty snacks, industrial strength medication and of course the tie line to ChipperTex.

However, the Biriyani place does sound sweet.

I went to The Panorama following your advice last August, QB. And it was really worth. Don%26#39;t forget to mention also that it is closed on Monday and Tuesday though!

Is that biryani place in Jackson Heights the Jackson Diner?

My only resolution for this year is reviewing the hotels we%26#39;ve stayed in the last year... which is not easy.

My resolutions are as follows:

1. Try to answer more travel related questions here on the NYC forum.

2. Stay away from the place where Boring goes to die; the Stockholm forum.

3 I am going to try to insert more songlyrics in my posts, there were too few last year.

4. Not to read any posts regarding tipping, apartment rentals or the best way from...to...

5 Spread more love on the forum

';Love is in the air

Everywhere I look around

Love is in the air

Every sight and every sound

And I don%26#39;t know if I%26#39;m being foolish

Don%26#39;t know if I%26#39;m being wise

But it%26#39;s something that I must believe in

And it%26#39;s there when I look in your eyes

Love is in the air

In the whisper of the trees

Love is in the air

In the thunder of the sea

And I don%26#39;t know if I%26#39;m just dreaming

Don%26#39;t know if I feel sane

But it%26#39;s something that I must believe in

And it%26#39;s there when you call out my name';

Hi! Returned yesterday from my overseas vacation and I think I know the time and day ( jetlag is a mean thing to deal with)

My resolutions

a. stay away ( like others have said) from tipping and rental posts ( unless they are really really different or leave themselves wide open for sarcastic responses--I can%26#39;t help myself)

b. hmmmmm think about a Brooklyn- Queens rumble, no promises, just thinkun%26#39;

c. try to visit some of the places that I%26#39;ve learned about on this forum. I need to play tourist more!

d. try to remember that it is sometimes more important to sleep than to post!

';try to remember that it is sometimes more important to sleep than to post!';

That should have been one of mine as well.
