Hi I%26#39;m hoping to take my husband to New york for his 50th birthday in dec 09

This will be our 1st time in new york can anyone suggest a good place to stay - somewhere central - and what can we expect at the beginning of Dec !any help would be appreciated as this will be surprise for him - he is a keen photographer so will want some great views !

I bet he would enjoy visiting the International Center of Photography; the exhibitions there are diverse, always interesting. ICP also offers workshops for both amateurs and pros.
