Help please with questions

Currently trying to write a book, 2 of the characters are american and aged 17 %26amp; 18 what year would they be in high school? Also what street would have expensive apartments (not in the multi millions or anything) sorry for all the questions thanx xx

Help please with questions

Can%26#39;t help on the street addresses but an 18 yo would/should be a senior (12th grade) in HS. A 17 yo could be a junior or senior in HS. Depends on the month you were born. I graduated at 17 because my birthday is in September.

Park Avenue is always a safe bet.

BTW, just as a head%26#39;s-up, you shold probably visit here to make your book accurate, or at least believable.

Well to start they would be Seniors in highschool. As far as New York and expensive everything is ( and in millions). I would say Park Ave would be good and well known place but maybe expensive Other wise if they are into art and such Soho would be cool or River side drive.

Well here is a start to get a feel.

lol Qb -

Hi thanx, I%26#39;ve been to NY before and really loved it. Didn%26#39;t want to base my whole story in Ireland as I felt that I might try and input too much of what I would do instead of my characters. Its a fictional book, but not about zombies or anything. The female character recently relocated to New York and starts school there for her senior year, when she is at the school 3 months she turns 18, so wanted to make sure I had that right, and google will be my new best friend haha. Thanx gonna go with Park Avenue xx

The first area to come to mind is Central Park West or that area.

A famous address is The Dakota building at 72nd and Central Park West. This is where John Lennon was shot.

Oh I visited there, there is alittle light outside the apartment, was really sad visiting it. xx

Riverside Drive or Central Park West is a great ';second tier'; area, just a hair lower on the real estate scale than Park Ave.

Is she going to go to a private school or a public school? If the family is well off or climbing the social ladder, she%26#39;d probably go to Chapin, Spence or Nightingale-Bamford. If her parents are a bit funky, then she%26#39;d go to St. Ann%26#39;s in Brooklyn.

Any apartment on any location named on this thread is going to be in the multi-millions. What sort of lifestyle are you looking for in these characters?

Her parents are dead, they died when she was 5. Her mother%26#39;s best friend took her in, but her parents were very well off and had insurance policies that when they died went into a trust fund for her, she inherits the money on her 18th birthday. Her guardian was also left money and they live comfortably. Although she lives in a nice apartment etc, she isn%26#39;t a normal %26#39;rich kid%26#39;. She%26#39;ll be going to a private school. xxx
