Private Limo service from JFK to Westin Times Square Hotel

We are getting in from a cross country flight late at night (11:50pm) and need to get to our hotel. We would like to either do a taxi or town car service. Does anyone have a good lead or recommendation for a town car service they have used and was a good deal?

Thanks!!

The two sedan companies many of us seem to like the most are Dial 7 and All State. Both have websites and direct dial numbers if you%26#39;d like to speak to a live person.

You phone them when you%26#39;re off the plane and they%26#39;ll have a car there within ten to fifteen minutes.

Personally, I think it is a waste of time to call and play hide and seek when there is a taxi rank right outside, there are always lots of cabs in the queue, they take credit cards, the fare is a fixed rate and there is a Dispatcher there to answer any questions you may have.

A taxi is $45.00 plus toll and tip, approx. $60.00

Any questions, please feel free to ask...

Would the 60 for the taxi include the tip? I got a rate for a town car service $47 w/o tip and toll...not much less than a taxi and better service I would imagine. Thoughts?

We use New Day which also has an online reservation system. They have been reliable. I always call a car late at night at JFK. Once in a while the taxi stand is a nightmare so I just don%26#39;t risk it.

The taxi is a flat fare of $45.00. Toll and tip is additional. Tip is at your discretion.

The challenge with arranging a sedan through any of these companies that people use is that you have to pay extra for meet and greet at Baggage Claim so they tell you to call them when you land, this avoids the surcharge but always involves a ten to fifteen minute game of Hide and Seek.

I%26#39;ve never seen a very long wait for a taxi at JFK Airport except on the occasional rainy Friday evening at 5:30PM.

At Midnight there will be more taxi%26#39;s than customers. You%26#39;ll walk right up to the Dispatcher and you%26#39;ll get into a taxi. Even if there were ten people from your flight in front of you it would still move alot quicker than talking to Dispatch at a Car Service on the phone and trying to find the driver.

Whether you get better service from a car service vs. a taxi really depends on the car service, the particular driver vs the particular taxi driver you get. In other words, there are no guarantees either way imo. If you%26#39;re looking for something fancy and someone standing with a sign with your name on

strusserslimousineservice.com

or

mdlimousines.com

have gotten good reviews.

If you want something a step above a taxi (which is usually fine, especially for a simple trip to a well known hotel like yours) if you get a luxury sedan (vs. their least expensive option) from

dial7.com

it will be nicer than the typical cab. You will be asked to phone them either from your cell or a courtesy phone to say you%26#39;ve got your baggage and they%26#39;ll tell you where to stand for the driver.
