Get daughter with lots of luggage from JFK - Western NH???

Our daughter is returning from semester abroad, on an international flight, with lots of luggage, on a Sunday afternoon (traffic?!), with possible snow forecast....Any suggestions on how we should approach this? We%26#39;re not used to city traffic...what does anyone think about driving to Hartford and us taking a shuttle bus to JFK, returning with her on shuttle bus to Hartford, and picking up our car and driving to NH. Unfortunately it%26#39;s expensive if we go down and back on the shuttle. Also, are there porters after Customs at JFK
