NY Hotels- Quikbook Sale

Hi all,

Just to let you know there is a pretty good sale on some hotels in NY on Quikbook just started.I already had something booked with them, but have now changed my mind and gone for the 6 Columbus hotel, as it has a fantastic rate of $127 for a Queen.. (I think the standard Pod was about $112)

Seems like a good deal to me :)

I just got back today from New York, and the 6 Columbus, and booked it again for my next vacation at the end of February. I got a rate of 122$/night for the pod room!!! Maybe I will change my mind when I receive my credit card bill....yikes....too many sales in NY right now! At least I don%26#39;t have to buy clothes for some time:)

I read your review cricri, and now I%26#39;m certain I made the right choice (changed from Empire) 6 Columbus really looks fantastic!! Wish I could afford to come back again in Feb :)

Any tips on places to go out in the evening around the area? Thx

Sorry Carolyn but I am kind of a bore...I go back to my hotel room after dinner...haha....I had very nice dinners, I treated myself to a couple of nice ones, but I rarely go out clubbing after. Sorry:(

Carolyn, you may want to check out the Hudson bar, in the Hudson Hotel, which is about 5 doors away from 6 Columbus (not in the direction of Starbucks - you%26#39;ll see what I mean when you%26#39;re there). Look for the kind of plain concrete exterior with the neon yellow lighting of the escalator that takes you up to the lobby. The bar is scene-y, cool, great drinks, etc.

Even the lobby of the Hudson is something to see, if the bar there turns out to be not your thing. You should take the walk down to see at least the lobby.
